Use of Spade Launcher

Spade Launcher is provided as a minimal Android launcher focused on simplicity, privacy, and intentional phone use.

By using Spade Launcher, you agree to use the app responsibly and in accordance with applicable laws and these Terms.

Launcher Functionality

Spade Launcher can act as your Android home screen/launcher. You are responsible for configuring your device, launcher settings, shortcuts, hidden apps, wallpapers, and other preferences.

You can stop using Spade Launcher at any time by changing your default launcher in Android settings or uninstalling the app.

Focus Gate

Focus Gate is an optional feature that lets you set a time limit on a chosen app and shows a blocking screen once that time is up, using permissions you grant explicitly in system settings. See the Privacy Policy for details on what these permissions are used for.

Focus Gate is a self-restriction tool intended to help you reduce app usage. It is best-effort and is not guaranteed to be bypass-proof, and is not a substitute for parental control or device management software.

No Warranty

Spade Launcher is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While reasonable efforts are made to provide a stable experience, the app may contain bugs, errors, interruptions, or unexpected behavior.

Not for Critical Use

Spade Launcher should not be relied upon for safety-critical, medical, financial, business-critical, emergency, or other high-risk purposes.

Ace Edition

Ace Edition is a one-time in-app purchase available through Google Play. It unlocks additional clock styles, fonts, themes, home canvas layout, widgets, and icon pack support. No subscription is required. Purchases are subject to Google Play's refund policy.

When purchasing or restoring Ace Edition, the app contacts a self-hosted verification server (api.spadelauncher.com) operated by the developer to confirm the purchase is genuine. See the Privacy Policy for details on what is sent.

Third-Party Services

Spade Launcher uses weather data from DWD and NOAA, processed via the open-source Open-Meteo software, served from a self-hosted server. City search uses Open-Meteo's public geocoding API. These services may change, become unavailable, or provide inaccurate information.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of opportunities resulting from the use of Spade Launcher.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes to the App and Terms

Features, functionality, availability, and these Terms may change over time. Updates will be reflected by changing the effective date.

Privacy

Use of Spade Launcher is also subject to the Privacy Policy.
